    Sixteen lakes linked by waterfalls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In winter, under snow and ice, they look completely different.

    The canyons of Velika and Mala Paklenica on the southern slopes of Velebit. A renowned climbing area and the start of many hiking trails.
